Wine List

sparkling & champagne

Champagne Pol Roger NV Brut Reserve   France   £49.00
Fine bubbles with a bouquet of floral and fruity aromas, ripe and thirst quenching on the palate

Prosecco di Conegliano   Italy   £16.50
Semi-sparkling with a fine and fruity bouquet

rose

Claude Val Rosé   Vin de Pays d'Oc, France   £11.75
A blend of Grenache, Cinsault and Syrah from the Herault Valley - just bursting with black cherry fruitiness

white

Chablis, Tremblay   France   £22.50
A superb wine with great presence and outstanding body and flavour. Although not as obviously steely as other wines from Chablis, this has a distinctive suppleness that almost masks the powerful, dry underlying flavours

Macon Lugny, 'Sandarine' Mathelin   Burgandy, France   £19.00
A lively, robust wine full of character and flavour, ideal for accompanying fish or anything spicy

Verdicchio del Castelli di Jesi Classico, Garofoli   Marches, Italy   £16.25
It's not just the flavour that makes this Classical Italian wine so appealing - delightfully fresh and zingy, for centuries it has been made as a complement to seafood. If you enjoy Pinot Grigio, we would recommend this to you

River's Edge Sauvignon Blanc (Our House White)   Robertson, South Africa   £15.75/£3.50
Herbaceous and lively, a good match for fish, salads and chicken, with lots of gooseberry, green apple and citrus fruit

Foundstone Unoaked Chardonnay   South Eastern Australia   £14.50
A great all purpose wine with good complexity of fruit and clean, lingering lemony flavours

Claude Val Blanc   Vin de Pays d'Oc, France   £11.75
Typically French with vibrant flavours of apples and apricots and a deliciously zesty finish

red

JFB Bourgogne Pinot Noir   Burgandy, France   £23.75
Quite refined in style with beautiful backbone and acidity, at the lighter end of the scale, but still a good, satisfying mouthful of Burgandy

Château Le Breuil, Côte de Bourg   Bourdeaux, France   £19.00
Well balanced Claret, with good medium weight and fruit. Drinking well now, this is from 1999 vintage and does throw some sediment

Beaujolais Villages, Château Gaillard   France   £16.50
Young, fruity, invigorating wine from the best of the villages in the region - loads of character and raspberry flavour

Valle Dorado Merlot (Our House Red)   Curico Valley, Chile   £14.50/£3.50
Most appealing with delicious flavours of liquorice and blackcurrant - great value

Antina Cabernet Sauvignon Tempranillo   Tierra de Castilla, Spain   £12.50
Very modern with fresh varietal aromas of blakcurrant and cherries, but still retaining a very Spanish warmth of flavours - good fruit with a touch of spice and good, soft tannins
